Florencia KBF (aka "Flori") is a solid black filly by the Premium Westfalen stallion Freestyle and out of our Hanoverian mare Wienna SH (by Wolkenglanz). Born April 25, 2014, Flori is a bold girl who adores human interaction; if you call her name, she will stop whatever she is doing and squeal to you while she heads in your general direction to stand next to you to mutually groom. She has long legs, a beautifully set neck, a very feminine head, and an overall lovely type. We are so pleased with Flori that we have decided to retain her for the broodmare program. We have high hopes for this girl, both as a broodmare and as a competitive dressage mount.

Florencia's sire Freestyle is a 17h Class 1 Westfalen Stallion by Florestan I. At the 1998 Westfalen Stallion Licensing at Prussendorf, Freestyle was the overall winner of his performance test, where he was declared a Premium stallion and was awarded a perfect 10 for character, a 9 for temperament, and a 9.33 for rideability. Freestyle has a German Dressage Index of 151 points - the highest in North America, and in the top 1% of all German Dressage stallions. In 2013, a son of Freestyle (Fabian DSF) won the North American Stallion Performance Testing, demonstrating both dressage and jumping ability.

Freestyle is by the legendary Florestan I, the Westfalen foundation stallion who won both the dressage and jumping portions of his 1989 performance test at Warendorf. Florestan (now deceased) has produced numerous world-class dressage stallions, and his get are known for ease of rideability and elastic movement.

Flori's dam Wienna SH is a 16.2h black (heterozygous Ee for the black gene) Hanoverian mare by Wolkenglanz (deceased) and out of a mare by Wuemmestern (also deceased). Wienna passes her tractable temperament, substantial bone, sturdy feet, and love of human attention along to her foals; they are all quick learners and very amateur friendly.
