Sonora KBF is a striking bay filly by the Oldenburg stallion Sir Gregory and out of our beloved Hanoverian mare Wienna SH (by Wolkenglanz). Born April 18, 2017, Sonora (aka "Nora") is bold and curious and adores everyone - especially if you are willing to help her scratch her itches! Sonora has a very substantial build with good bone and neck/shoulder placement that is perfect for dressage. Sonora has an ease and confidence about her that is rare to see with young horses. She never gets worried or frightened, and she marches right up to "scary" things to investigate. Nora will be a rock star in the show ring someday!

Sonora was adored by the AHS judges at her inspection, and they stated that she was "as nice as anything being produced in Germany"!! That was a proud moment for this breeder!

We sold Sonora's full sister Savannah to a wonderful dressage rider, so sweet Sonora will be staying with us to be a future broodmare! Already dreaming of stallions to use on her someday!

Sonora's sire Sir Gregory is an Oldenburg stallion who won his 30 day stallion test with an overall score of 8.85, with 9.08 in the dressage phase and 8.35 in the jumping phase. He is modern in type, and his gaits are powerful and elastic.

Sonora's dam Wienna SH is a 16.2h black Hanoverian mare by Wolkenglanz and out of a mare by Wuemmestern. Wienna passes her tractable temperament, substantial bone, sturdy feet, and love of human attention along to her foals; they are all quick learners and VERY amateur friendly. Her foals are now old enough to start under saddle, and the dressage trainers/riders LOVE them!
